Meditation, a type of mind-body medicine, has been practiced for thousands of years. During meditation, you develop a center of focus in an attempt to minimize intrusive thoughts about the past and future and rest into the present moment. Many forms of meditation exist, but commonalities include a quiet setting, a comfortable position and focused attention. Many people claim, “I can’t meditate because my thoughts are always racing!” Don’t worry, that’s normal. Think of meditation like any skill, it takes practice to get better and time to get comfortable with it. It’s easier if you have a teacher. I’ve got you covered!

meditation mondays

Meditation classes are held on most Mondays at noon in the office. They are one hour-long sessions and open to all levels of experience. Each week, I offer a variety of experiential samples. I guide participants through various techniques and meditations designed to help them relax, restore and renew themselves.
